1, Is it safe to travel to Cambodia?

A: Cambodia is one of the most peaceful countries to travel in South East Asia.

As a Buddhist country, the people are honest and very friendly. In case you get any difficulty when travelling, please do not hesitate to ask local people for assistance. Even if they don’t speak your language, they will be able to help you to find someone around who does. So travelling to Cambodia is generally perfectly safe.

2, Do I need a visa for Cambodia?

A: Yes, you will need a visa to enter Cambodia.

For most visitors to Cambodia, a visa is obtainable upon arrival at either airport in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. Tourists can also obtain their visas through the online E-Visa. Regardless of the method of entry, a Cambodian tourist visa is valid for one month.

Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your travel date, and there must be several blank pages left on your passport. You should also have a 5 cm x 5 cm on a white or off-white background photo ready, as well as USD$30 for the stamping fee.

For visitors from Southeast Asia countries, you may not need a visa for a stay of less than 30 days, but the amount of time varies depends on your country.

If you are uncertain about your visa, please inform your travel consultant so they can help!

3, What is the maximum weight for check-in luggage with domestic flights?

A: The policy of weight for check-in luggage is different for airlines. Normally, you have 7kg for hand luggage and 20kg for check-in luggage.

Accurate information will be updated according to each specific flight by your private travel consultant.

4, How should I dress for the tour with you?

A: Clothes in Southeast Asia tend to be quite casual because of the warm, humid, tropical climate. For women, casual cotton pants and skirts are most acceptable for daytime wear, but bare sundresses and short shorts are frowned upon, especially in pagodas & temples.

In Cambodia, when entering a religious site, you are required to wear a dress/trouser (BELOW the knees) and walk on barefoot (no shoes, no socks).

Moreover, it is also useful to have a windbreaker or rain poncho as protection against the unexpected rain showers that tend to occur.

5, Advices for the Time zone, telephone charges, communication methods.

A: Cambodia’s Standard Time zone is GMT/UTC + 7.

Telephone charges: In-network calls cost 5 to 7 cents per minute and it’s 8 cents per minute for cross-network calls. International calls cost 20 cents per minute, or as low as 4.5 cents a minute if you dial 177 before the country code.
