Vietnam Evisa Validity Extended To 3 Months By Lawmakers
The proposal to extend the validity of tourist e-visas from 30 days to 90 days with multiple entries has been officially passed by the National Assembly.
This change is the result of revisions to the Law on Foreigners’ Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence in Vietnam and will come into effect on August 15. An overwhelming majority of 470 out of 475 members voted in favor of the change.
Currently, Vietnam offers e-visas to residents of 80 countries and territories. Nationals of 25 countries are exempt from visas for usually 15-30 days, which is considered less flexible than the policies of other nearby countries.
