Vietnam Evisa Extension

The proposal to extend the validity of tourist e-visas from 30 days to 90 days with multiple entries has been officially passed by the National Assembly.

Vietnam Evisa Validity Extended To 3 Months

This change results from a revision to the Law on Foreigners’ Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence in Vietnam, which was overwhelmingly supported by an impressive 470 out of 475 members.

What’s more, visa-free stays for travelers from certain countries have increased from 15 to 45 days. Nationals from select Western European countries, Japan, and South Korea can now travel for up to 15 days without a visa. With the introduction of multiple-entry visas, administrative burdens will be reduced, and both time and money can be saved. This is fantastic news for those looking to explore all that Vietnam has to offer.

Currently, Vietnam offers e-visas to residents of 80 countries and territories. Nationals of 25 countries are exempt from visas for usually 15-30 days, which is considered less flexible than the policies of other nearby countries.
