The capital city of Laos, Vientiane, still feels like a sleepy city with relaxed charm, tree-lined boulevards, fascinating temples, and colourful markets. This city conjures up exotic images, with the curious mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French influences.

Morning
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up for a full-day exploration of this charming city. Start with Wat Si Muang, a Khmer temple with a fascinating legend that still holds great significance among the Laotian community. This site is famous for its supernatural power.

The next stop is Buddha Park, known as Xieng Khuan, that is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues.

Continue on to Lao Disable Women Development Center, non-profit organization run by Lao women. Spend time watching the video and learn about the Disable Women’s effort to earn their daily living. You can support them by buying some small handicrafts at the shop.

Afternoon
Start the afternoon with a visit to That Luang, the holiest site in Laos. Constructed by King Setthathirat in the 16th century, the temple is resplendent as the sun is shines upon its towering golden spire.

Proceed to the Patuxai Monument, also called Anousavari, and enjoy a panoramic view over the city from the top. It is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe that is located at the top of Lan Xang Avenue, the Champs Elysees of the Lao capital.

Walk down to Lane Xang Avenue to see the serene Wat Sisaket, the only temple left intact after the Siamese invasion in 1828. It shelters hundreds of statues of Buddha within its walls.  Nearby is Wat Phra Keo, now used as a religious museum where you can see Lao and Khmer works of art. It used to host the “Emerald Buddha” that is now on display at Bangkok’s Royal Palace.

End your tour of Laos’s capital along the banks of the Mekong River as the sun begins to set. Stroll along the river, stop to enjoy a cold drink, or sample a snack from one of the many local food stalls.

Epic 30 days North to South Vietnam

Chlie hit it out of the park on our 30 days Nieth to South Vietnam. Went with my daughter and friend. Being born during the war and half Vietnamese, I wanted my daughter to see the land where it all started. 25 different locations with 14, five star hotels along with private boat tours and 3 days on Enperor Cruises Halong Bay. You cant get more upscale than that. The guides in each region/ location were awesome and knew their stuff. All were consummate professionals ensuring we were comfortable. Tony, Sy, Mr. One, Vinh, Thuy, Tom and Joe exceeded our expectations in knowledge, friendliness and went beyond to see that we were happy with everything. Two of the guides hold our hearts, Vinh and Tom, if I could have, I would have smuggled them home in my suitcase. My daughter and I met family we never knew we had in Ben Tre and Buen Hoa, I got to see the school I went to and the home I grew up in before coming to the States when my dad ended his last tour. Thank you to Chloe and her team. I will be back, next time with my husband.

Amazing spring break to Vietnam

This was our first time using a travel agent to travel to another country. Stella made this process so easy that I’m not sure I’ll ever want to do it myself again. The process of figuring out our itinerary was pretty simple. She came up with an itinerary, we edited it a couple of times, and then we had a final plan. I even asked for a few changes the week before and she was able to change things up for us. No problem. During the trip, Stella and the guides were really responsive to our needs and helped us out more than I could have thought. We got a upgrade on a room and even extended our stay in the hotel due to sickness on our last day with no extra charge to us. I would recommend booking a trip with Stella to any of my friends ! And I might actually do it again myself.

Thailand , Cambodia and Vietnam

We had a wonderful time on the 3 weeks spent in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand . Chloe was our travel specialist. She did amazing job planning so that we experienced the many flavors of each country. All our guides were wonderful and the street food tours were amazing . We really recommend the Vespa evening foodie tour in Saigon, it was as advertised, one of the best ever lifetime experiences !!! The food was endless and we experienced all the street food with no issues. The accommodations were great and we loved ending the trip to relax in Krabi . Thank you Asian Pioneer Travel and Chloe , you made us a memory and experience we will not forget .

Fabulous spring break vacation

After speaking with two other family friends, we booked our vacation through Chloe and it was one of the best trips we have been on. We spent 10 days traveling from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Hoi An, Halong Bay and Hanoi, Vietnam. As a family of 5 (Kids ages 8,5, &3) it is hard to find accommodations and activities that meet the needs of all family members. However everyone came back happy campers. We loved every activity and all the food was wonderful. We saw temples, rode bikes, explored downtowns and went kayaking. Hands down worth every penny.
