Watching the first light of day illuminate this ancient masterpiece is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After sunrise, begin your cycling journey with a short ride (approximately 1 km) to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, where giant stone faces carved into towering structures welcome you into the former capital of the Khmer Empire. Visiting at this early hour offers a wonderful “early bird” advantage, allowing for peaceful exploration and excellent photo opportunities before the crowds arrive.

Continue cycling deeper into Angkor Thom to visit the magnificent Bayon Temple, renowned for its serene stone faces and intricate carvings representing Avalokiteshvara.

Following this, enjoy an authentic picnic breakfast in a tranquil setting within the temple complex.

After breakfast, cycle onward to Preah Khan, a vast monastic complex originally built as a Buddhist monastery, known for its maze-like corridors and atmospheric ruins.
