Our family decided to visit Vietnam at the last minute for the Christmas holiday, which is the busy season. I found it too difficult to make all the necessary arrangements myself for an itinerary that I researched so I contacted Asia Pioneer which had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor for assistance. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of advice, scheduling, tour guides and drivers that were arranged. From the beginning of the process of working with Mr. Lam, our organizer, the communications were timely and clear, and the administrative arrangements very professional which made me feel very comfortable. We visited Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc Island, Halong Bay and Hanoi. The hotels and side trips that Indochina arranged were all excellent. Our guides met us at the airport and at the hotel each day for our excursions. The guides spoke English, were fun to be with and knowledgeable, and flexible with each day’s itinerary to accommodate any special requests and changes. I would highly recommend Indochina and will use them again on our next trip over.

We travelled to Cambodia & Vietnam in September 2016 (3 weeks). Contacted Asia Pioneer to setup a custom private trip, identified all our requirements (we are very experienced travelers), some very specific and Mr. Lam Duong from Asia Pioneer provided us with an excellent extensive itinerary that met all our needs. Lam was very understanding and focused on our requirements and made several recommendations and suggestions that turned out great! Off the back, Lam’s customer service attitude was exceptional!

Our trip started in Cambodia, Phnom Penh & Siam Reap (5 days) and then to Vietnam from Ho Chi Min (south) to Hanoi (north) and a multitude of surrounding cities, towns, villages (18 days). We travelled by local air, luxury coach, vip-cabin train, luxury cruise-boat and private cars throughout our trip and Asia Pioneer’s setup was flawless, we did not have to think or be concerned with anything, they pampered us from start to finish. All our drivers and tour staff were very experienced, knowledgeable and customer focused.

Our experiences were full and rich, with culture, food, history, people, sights-sounds and all the beauty of Cambodia & Vietnam… AWESOME, AMAZING, FANTASTIC!!!

We have just returned from an amazing trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. This was arranged fro us by Ruby at Asia Pioneer. And what a fantastic job she did. From the moment we contacted her she worked with us to give us exactly the holiday we wanted, incorporating our wishes and suggesting others which turned out to be perfect. Everything was executed with such professionalism. I could not find one negative during our holiday. All the positives included amazing accommodations, excellent drivers and guides, entrances to sites, activities such as Christmas Eve on Halong Bay, Asian Cookery class in Hoi An, a Lantern making class, Street food tour, Cu Chi Tunnels, a Vespa Tour in Saigon (do not miss this if you are ever in Saigon), New Years Eve Gala in Hoi An, and to top it all off, a sunset and sunrise at Anchor Wat, and many more activities too numerous to mention but at the same time giving us time to explore and enjoy on our own.
Even when there was a slight problem with one of our guides in Hanoi, the manager/owner of Asia Pioneer came to meet us and had a replacement guide with us in a very short time. (Hope Duc our guide was ok). It was a delight to meet Ruby in Hanoi and what can we say to her and her team but thanks a million for the most amazing holiday. We received outstanding service from start to finish and when (not if) we return to Indochina we will definitely get Ruby and her team to arrange our trip.

Asia Pioneer planned the trip of a lifetime for us. We had two weeks of holiday and wanted to pack in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, and Lam’s team took care of everything. We brought our two-year-old son and four-MONTH-old daughter and managed to do Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An/Da Nang, Siem Reap, and Phuket – it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime journey and they made everything so simple. Our guides in each place were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about each of these beautiful countries and absolutely loved our time in each of them. We can’t thank them enough for making a trip with two small children so incredibly easy!

In September 2015 I travelled with my family of 4 to northern Vietnam on an itinerary of 2 weeks.
Early in the booking process Lam worked with me to design a trip to suit our family. He was quick to respond and took the time to understand our requirements. He made many helpful suggestions and the recommendations were all spot on.
One of our children got ill for 48 hours half way through the trip. I am still astounded by the care Lam & his team showed us and their work to adjust the tour to accommodate a couple of quiet days and rearrange onward travel AND there was no additional cost. They were under no obligation to go the extra mile but they did it willingly.
I give Lam and Asia Pioneer 10 out of 10 for customer service and value.

My family of 4 went on a 14 day trip to Hanoi, DaNang, HCM City and Cambodia with the help from Lam at Asia Pioneer. I found this company on this website and began planning with a live chat line. Lam was prompt with responses with emails and answered all my questions in every detail since then. He helped me with planning my itinerary, booking domestic flights and recommended hotels in every destination. All hotels selection was excellent except for Pullman in Da Nang for many reasons. The local guides picked up and dropped off as expected and followed through all detail on itinerary. On the second day in Hanoi, I met with Lam in a local restaurant for lunch as he also made his rounds with other tourists. I am impressed with Lam and would recommend to anyone who needs help with Vietnam and Cambodia.
