Trip to Vietnam Cambodia Laos and Tailand

Four of us headed out for an adventure of a lifetime. Every guide and driver made sure our trip was exciting but comfortable. Every day had numerous activities planned that were fun and informative. Kata at IndoChinaPioneers was very helpful in planning the trip. She responded promptly and answered all our questions. We couldn’t have planned a better trip.

Accessible South East Asia

As far as travelling through any parts of Asia in an electric wheelchair go it is daunting. However thanks to the itinerary and arrangements made by Asia Pioneer the experience was, not only accessible, but extremely enjoyable. Of course there were many areas within the temples and other interesting sites that were not accessible, this did not take away from my life changing experience. From the Sunrise Community Development complex in Kandal, the temples and historical sites of both Cambodia and Vietnam to 2 nights Halong Bay and experiencing the traffic in the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, I had a ball!!!

Excellent booking and itinerary!

We used Asia Pioneer, based on a friends recommendation, and couldn’t have been happier with our entire trip! The Guides and Drivers were excellent, and all Guides spoke English well. Vans were clean and well equipped, and Drivers were top notch. Our itinerary was full, but we could adjust things as we moved through our trip, if we preferred not to do too much, or wanted to do something specific. The Guides went out of their way to provide excellent suggestions, and make sure we were comfortable at all times. The Company put together a wonderful tour of Vietnam for 4 of us, and we had adventure after adventure .. a really great way to experience all that Vietnam as to offer!! Loved this trip!

Fantastic 2 week trip in Vietnam

We took an awesome 2 week trip through Vietnam. The trip was arranged by Kata from Asia Pioneer and we couldn’t have hoped for more. The trip was very reasonably priced for a private tour for 2 with English speaking guide and driver. Everything was organised to perfection and communication was excellent. The highlights for us was an overnight cruise on Halong Bay (amazing) and our days in Hoi An (a gorgeous old and new town full of culture and fun). We loved the food too – Vietnamese food is so fresh. We’re already planning our next trip

Most wonderful time

I visited Cambodia and Vietnam with my brother and sister. Everything was planned and flowed beautifully. Transportation, events, accomodations, and tour guides were excellent. My first visit to Asia was an amazing experience and one that I will always remember. I plan to return in the very near future and will look to Ms. Ruby at Asia Pioneer to plan the trip. Thank you so much for the wonderful time.

Personal service was outstanding; itinerary was personalized for our interests

Prior to booking, we communicated extensively with Miss Ruby about our preferences, which included a focus on area agriculture, culture, and history. The staff at Indochina created an itinerary that covered every area-every day. We were always on the move…by foot, on an assortment of boats on an assortment of waterways, by plane, by sleeper train, by luxury bus, by small (as in 4 cars) ferry across the Red River, in a tuk-tuk, and on bikes 6-10 hours a day. In 17 days we traveled from the Mekong Delta to Sapa (in the mountains 24 miles south of the Chinese border). Each guide excelled in his knowledge of the culture, industry, and history of every area we traveled. We even visited a small but phenomenal agriculture museum devoted to rice production that we had to travel to on one lane paths through rice patties and past water buffalo, cows, and fishermen to get to. We traveled by fishing boat through the Xuan Thuy National Park to observe shell fishing practices and migratory birds, capped off with a fresh cooked seafood lunch (featuring local fish and shellfish) eaten in one of the fishing huts built on stilts in the coastal zone of the Red River Delta and the National Park. We hiked through the rice terraces in Sapa. We visited an organic garden, a farm that harvests sea salt, a farmer who produces fish and shrimp sauce in barrels behind his house, a family who harvests coconuts and honey, a family brick making operation that still uses giant beehive kilns to dry bricks, and a family business where we saw a child assisting his grandmother in the weaving of a bamboo mat. We spent many pleasurable hours in a car driving from one part of the country to another. The guides never tired of our questions about what we were seeing, and the drivers were so accomplished when it came to any type of terrain that we always felt comfortable. My husband is 70 and I am 65. We plan to return for another Indochina tour. We think we have the energy to pull off another, although at times we did look at each other and say, “Do you think the guide will forget about the last thing in the itinerary?” No, that never happened, and we are happy it did not, because some of those sunset and evening activities were the most memorable. I should mention that our Home Stay was a wonderful experience and encourage everyone to add this to the itinerary.
