Start your day off in the very best way: exploring the beautiful Thai city of Chiang Mai as the sun begins to rise. After meeting your local English-speaking guide, your spiritual experience will begin.

You’ll be¬† immersed into daily life in Chiang Mai as you join the locals in their daily commute¬†onboard a Songthaew, an iconic public bus, and head down¬†Suthep Road.¬†Make a stop at¬†Kad Ton Payom, a small but popular market which will draw you in with the sights and smells of the delicious northern Thai cuisine at its stalls.

From here, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in one of Chiang Mai’s most important religious and cultural ceremonies:¬†the Buddhist almsgiving. Each morning, faithful locals gather and give food as alms to the saffron-robe wearing Buddhist monks. Your guide helps you fill the monks‚Äô alms bowls with rice as they make their daily procession.

Following this unforgettable experience, you’ll¬†enjoy a mouth-watering typical breakfast¬†before making your way to¬†Wat Gatekaram¬†for a glimpse of local life. Venture through the small alleyways of this trading community, stopping to see old temples and a local market. Then venture away from the city‚Äôs centre to¬†Wiang Kum Kam, a ‚Äėlost civilization‚Äô wiped out by a flood 200 years ago. Hop on a bike to explore the ancient ruins which are scattered about the rural fields. See traces of the past while pedalling slowly through the site. The museum there is a real eye opener into this lost civilization. Take some time to understand this history with the innovative technology this museum is now using, the technology used to bring the museum to life is fun and interactive for children and adults alike.

Take a rest and board a Longtail Boat for a scenic ride down the Mae Ping River. Relax and enjoy the views of riverside villages, fishermen and other boats passing by.

Disembark near the city and have lunch at a local Thai restaurant. Then try yet another form of local transport, samlor. These pedal-powered three-wheeled trishaws used to be ubiquitous in Thailand but are slowly being replaced by motorbikes and other motorized vehicles. Move slowly through the streets toward Wat Chedi Luang. Stop to visit this spectacular pagoda, once home to a famous Emerald Buddha.

The day ends with a Tuk-tuk ride to Waroros Market. Mingle among the locals and soak up the sights and smells of the fresh food and Thai spices. Then return to your hotel.

Morning ATV riding (8:30 ‚Äď 11:30)

3 hour ATV trip is set up for beginners to intermediate drivers. We start out with detailed instructions and a training course to get you comfortable with your vehicles. It is a mix of road and off-road jungle terrain. It’s well-suited for those that would like to explore the local countryside and see it a different way. We have different routes that we choose based on weather conditions, road conditions and driver abilities. If you have driven ATV’s before please let us know your riding ability.

What to wear / What to bring

We highly recommend that you bring sunglasses or glasses and we advise wearing shoes. It is not a good idea to drive your ATV in sandals as there are sharp stones and rocks on the road. Likewise, in the event that you fall off it’s a great idea to protect your skin from scrapes by wearing trousers and a long sleeved T-Shirt.

Sunscreen is also important and we recommend you bring a refillable water bottle and a change of dry clothes in the event that it’s raining.

Afternoon cooking class:

Today you will learn to cook some of the most famous Thai dishes at¬†Asia Scenic¬†‚Äď one of the best¬†cooking schools¬†in Chiang Mai.

After you select the menus you want to cook, you’ll get started with a local market tour to select the freshest ingredients for your menu.

Enjoy the guidance of the chef and prepare your own meal, then evaluate yourself by having what you have cooked for dinner!

The evening will be free.

Epic 30 days North to South Vietnam

Chlie hit it out of the park on our 30 days Nieth to South Vietnam. Went with my daughter and friend. Being born during the war and half Vietnamese, I wanted my daughter to see the land where it all started. 25 different locations with 14, five star hotels along with private boat tours and 3 days on Enperor Cruises Halong Bay. You cant get more upscale than that. The guides in each region/ location were awesome and knew their stuff. All were consummate professionals ensuring we were comfortable. Tony, Sy, Mr. One, Vinh, Thuy, Tom and Joe exceeded our expectations in knowledge, friendliness and went beyond to see that we were happy with everything. Two of the guides hold our hearts, Vinh and Tom, if I could have, I would have smuggled them home in my suitcase. My daughter and I met family we never knew we had in Ben Tre and Buen Hoa, I got to see the school I went to and the home I grew up in before coming to the States when my dad ended his last tour. Thank you to Chloe and her team. I will be back, next time with my husband.

Amazing spring break to Vietnam

This was our first time using a travel agent to travel to another country. Stella made this process so easy that I’m not sure I’ll ever want to do it myself again. The process of figuring out our itinerary was pretty simple. She came up with an itinerary, we edited it a couple of times, and then we had a final plan. I even asked for a few changes the week before and she was able to change things up for us. No problem. During the trip, Stella and the guides were really responsive to our needs and helped us out more than I could have thought. We got a upgrade on a room and even extended our stay in the hotel due to sickness on our last day with no extra charge to us. I would recommend booking a trip with Stella to any of my friends ! And I might actually do it again myself.

Thailand , Cambodia and Vietnam

We had a wonderful time on the 3 weeks spent in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand . Chloe was our travel specialist. She did amazing job planning so that we experienced the many flavors of each country. All our guides were wonderful and the street food tours were amazing . We really recommend the Vespa evening foodie tour in Saigon, it was as advertised, one of the best ever lifetime experiences !!! The food was endless and we experienced all the street food with no issues. The accommodations were great and we loved ending the trip to relax in Krabi . Thank you Asian Pioneer Travel and Chloe , you made us a memory and experience we will not forget .

Fabulous spring break vacation

After speaking with two other family friends, we booked our vacation through Chloe and it was one of the best trips we have been on. We spent 10 days traveling from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Hoi An, Halong Bay and Hanoi, Vietnam. As a family of 5 (Kids ages 8,5, &3) it is hard to find accommodations and activities that meet the needs of all family members. However everyone came back happy campers. We loved every activity and all the food was wonderful. We saw temples, rode bikes, explored downtowns and went kayaking. Hands down worth every penny.
