Arrival in Chiang Mai – Welcome to Northern Thailand

Welcome to Chiang Mai, the cultural heart of Northern Thailand. Upon arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, your family will be warmly welcomed by your local Thai guide and then transferred to your hotel. Settle in and take time to relax after your journey, let the children unwind, or enjoy a refreshing swim at the hotel — a gentle, pleasant start to your Northern Thailand adventure.

Day 2

Chiang Mai at Leisure

Today is completely free to relax and adjust to the pace of Chiang Mai. Feel free to unwind at the hotel, explore local cafés, or discover some of the city’s major highlights at your own pace, such as the Old City temples, local markets, or riverside areas.

Your tour leader will provide optional activities and recommendations for those who wish to explore further.

Day 3

Chiang Mai – Chiang Dao Community Experience

Set off early through the scenic Chiang Dao Valley to the rural village of Ban Hua Tung, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the local community for a truly authentic experience.

After settling in, join village guides for a gentle walk around the village to learn about traditional agricultural practices and handwoven basketry. Continue into the nearby forest, collectively protected by the Hua Tung community through a meaningful conservation initiative. Here, Buddhist clergy ordain trees as monks, symbolizing a deep spiritual bond between people and the forest.

Explore the rich biodiversity, discovering herbal medicines, wild foods, and learning how the annual bamboo harvest supports village development. The pride locals take in preserving their land and culture is evident throughout the visit.

Enjoy a home-cooked lunch prepared by the community, offering insight into daily life and traditions, before returning to Chiang Mai.

Day 4

Chiang Mai – Full-Day Ethical Elephant Experience

Today, we will enjoy an ethical and meaningful family experience in Chiang Mai with a full day at Elephant Nature Park. Your local guide will meet you at the hotel in the morning and transfer you comfortably to the park, located in the peaceful countryside outside the city.

Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome and introduction to the elephants, where you’ll learn their individual rescue stories and understand how the sanctuary supports their recovery. You’ll then help prepare elephant treats such as bananas and sugarcane, followed by hand-feeding the elephants, a joyful highlight for children and adults alike.

The day continues at a leisurely pace with walking alongside the elephants through forest paths and open land, observing them roam freely without saddles, chains, or pressure. A relaxed Thai lunch at the park is served with vegetarian options available, allowing time to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

In the afternoon, join in caring activities for the elephants, including a traditional mud or herbal spa, followed by river bathing with the elephants, a fun and refreshing experience filled with laughter and splashing. Before returning to Chiang Mai, take time to shower, change, and relax, ending the day with meaningful memories and the satisfaction of supporting one of Thailand’s most respected elephant welfare projects.

Chiang Mai – Fly to Surat Thani | Transfer to Khao Sok National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for your flight to Surat Thani, gateway to southern Thailand. Upon arrival, meet your local driver and continue by road to Khao Sok National Park, one of Thailand’s oldest and most spectacular rainforests.

Along the way, enjoy scenic countryside views as the landscape gradually changes from the north’s mountains to the lush greenery of the south. Upon arrival in Khao Sok, check in to your lodge and spend the remainder of the day at leisure—relax, unwind, or enjoy the peaceful jungle surroundings.

Khao Sok Rainforest & Gentle River Kayaking

After enjoying a refreshing breakfast, set out for a gentle kayaking experience on the Klong Sok River. Paddle at an easy pace through lush rainforest scenery, with time to float, swim, and watch for birds and wildlife along the riverbanks — a safe, relaxing activity ideally suited for families.

Day 7

Chiew Larn Lake – Nature at Its Best

Today is a highlight for all ages as you explore the stunning landscapes of Khao Sok National Park. Cruise across the emerald-green waters of Chiew Larn Lake by longtail boat, surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and ancient rainforest.

Visit a limestone cave, then enjoy lunch at a floating raft house right on the lake. The afternoon is free to swim, kayak, relax, or take a short, easy walk to a nearby waterfall before returning to the resort.

Khao Sok to Krabi Coast – From Jungle to Sea

After breakfast at your floating raft house on Chiew Larn Lake, bid farewell to the emerald waters and dramatic limestone cliffs of Khao Sok National Park. Transfer by longtail boat back to the pier, where your private vehicle awaits.

Travel south through lush countryside and rubber plantations toward the Krabi coast, a scenic journey offering a gentle transition from rainforest to sea. Along the way, there is time to pause for refreshments and stretch your legs before continuing to your beachside retreat.

Upon arrival, check into your charming seaside resort and settle into your bungalow. The rest of the day is at leisure—relax by the pool, stroll down to the sandy beach, or unwind and enjoy the peaceful coastal setting.

Krabi Highlights: Temples, Hot Springs & Emerald Pools

Begin the day with a visit to Tiger Cave Temple, one of Krabi’s most sacred and atmospheric sites. Nestled in a forest dotted with small caves, the temple takes its name from legends of tigers that once lived here and a natural rock formation shaped like a tiger’s paw. For those up to the challenge, climb the 1,237 steps to the summit of Khao Kaeo, where a serene Buddha image and a replica of the Buddha’s footprint await—along with breathtaking 360-degree views over Krabi’s dramatic limestone landscape.

Continue to Khlong Thom Hot Spring Waterfall, a peaceful natural spa hidden beneath lush greenery. Warm mineral-rich water flows into tiered stone pools, each naturally formed and perfectly suited for a relaxing soak.

In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot), reached via a scenic nature trail. Surrounded by shaded rainforest, the emerald-green waters invite a refreshing swim, offering the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration.

Krabi – Full-Day 4 Islands Adventure by Longtail Boat

Spend a perfect day island-hopping through Krabi’s most iconic seascapes aboard a traditional longtail boat. Cruise past dramatic limestone cliffs, soft white-sand beaches, and crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea.

Your journey begins at Railay Beach and the famous Phra Nang Cave, a sacred coastal cave set against towering cliffs and turquoise water—ideal for swimming, exploring, and photos. Continue to the spectacular Thale Waek (Separated Sea), where sandbanks connect Tup, Mo, and Chicken Islands at low tide, allowing you to walk from island to island right across the sea.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Krabi, with no scheduled activities. Relax on the beach, swim in the sea, or unwind by the pool and enjoy the laid-back coastal atmosphere.

If you feel like being a little more active, optional experiences can be arranged (at additional cost), including a gentle kayaking excursion along the coast or through mangroves, an easy cycling ride through local villages and scenic countryside, a traditional Thai spa treatment, a longtail boat trip to nearby islands, or a visit to Railay Beach. We will be happy to assist you with any further arrangements.

Krabi – Flight to Bangkok, Thailand’s Lively Capital

This morning, depart Krabi on a short flight to Bangkok, Thailand’s energetic and ever-exciting capital. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, where you unwind and ease into the rhythm of the city.

Bangkok is a city that instantly captures the imagination — colourful streets, golden temples, long-tail boats on the river, bustling markets, and endless little discoveries that fascinate both adults and children. Your centrally located hotel makes it easy to step out and start exploring, whether that means a walk to nearby landmarks such as the Grand Palace, a fun tuk-tuk ride, or simply watching city life unfold from a café or riverside walkway.

Day 13

Bangkok Discovery: Cycling, Nature & Street Food by Night

Enjoy a full day discovering Bangkok in a fun, active, and delicious way, perfect for families who love to explore together.

The day starts with a relaxed cycling adventure that takes you far from traffic and crowds. After a bike fitting, cross the Chao Phraya River by local ferry and arrive in Bang Krachao, known as Bangkok’s Green Lung. Cycle along quiet paths through lush greenery, coconut palms, canals, and local neighbourhoods — it feels like the countryside, right in the heart of the city.

Along the way, visit a local Buddhist temple, pass markets and parks, and stop at a Muay Thai boxing gym, where families can learn about Thailand’s national sport and try a few fun moves if they wish. The pace is easy, with plenty of stops for photos and rest. A tasty Thai lunch is enjoyed at a local restaurant, with simple and vegetarian options available, before returning to the city by ferry.

After a short break, the adventure continues in the evening with a tuk-tuk street food tour. Ride through Bangkok under the night lights, stopping in lively areas such as Bangrak or Chinatown to sample a variety of local dishes, snacks, desserts, and exotic fruits. End the night soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Bangkok after dark — a day full of energy, flavour, and unforgettable family moments.

Day 14

Bangkok – Floating Market & Weekend Market Shopping

After breakfast, visit Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market, a lively and authentic local market along Bang Ramat Road. Stroll through the canalside stalls showcasing Thai street food, traditional desserts, pottery, home décor, clothing, and locally made products.

Enjoy a gentle boat ride along Khlong Bang Ramat, offering a charming glimpse into traditional canal-side life. Continue to a local dessert house to sample freshly prepared Thai sweets and pick up delicious treats as souvenirs.

Return to your hotel for some leisure time in the afternoon. Later, transfer to the vibrant Chatuchak Weekend Market, where your family can enjoy free time to explore, shop, and soak up the lively atmosphere. A casual farewell dinner will be enjoyed at the market, followed by a relaxing traditional foot massage before returning to your hotel for a restful final night in Bangkok.
