My trip to Vietnam was very last minute and I had no time to properly arrange anything before I left. After a couple of days in Saigon I thought I needed some help and contacted Asia Pioneer by e-mail on a Saturday afternoon (when the offices were technically closed). They responded pretty much immediately and by the Sunday a trip to North Vietnam including Hanoi, Sapa, 2 days on a Halong Bay boat trip and Halong on Land had been sorted with connecting flights from the Monday which was only possible due to the time and effort spent by Kata. She went over and beyond what I have previously experienced from any travel consultant/company.

An extra lovely touch – Kata was not sure whether we had received an e-mail from her telling us that Sapa was colder Saigon and that we should bring a jumper so appeared at our hotel with scarves to keep us warm!

My husband and I have recently returned from a 3-week tour of Vietnam, organised by Mr Lam Duong of Asia Pioneer. It was our first trip to Vietnam, and we relied on Lam’s first-hand knowledge and expertise to guide us in planning our itinerary. We travelled from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, visiting the Mekong delta (overnight cruise), Dalat, Hoi An, Hue, Sapa, Halong Bay (overnight cruise) and Ninh Binh.

Lam was extremely friendly and helpful, responding promptly to all my emails, making changes and additional suggestions as requested, and carrying out my wishes with regard to accommodation, etc.

The trip went off seamlessly as planned. We were met at each destination by a guide and a private car with a driver. The guides were reliable, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and spoke good English. They were also flexible with the itinerary if the need arose. The drivers were punctual and courteous, and their expert local driving skills meant that we always felt safe, even in the most challenging traffic conditions.

We were happy with all our hotels. They were clean, comfortable, included good breakfasts, and were well situated close to the main tourism areas, enabling us to walk to restaurants and places of interest during periods of free time. We only had occasion to complain once during our trip, when we were unhappy with the hotel room we had been allocated. As soon as Lam was told, he immediately contacted the hotel and we were moved to a more suitable room.

I would unhesitatingly recommend Asia Pioneer if you are considering a private tour in Vietnam or other neighbouring countries.

Have just returned from a wondrous trip through Vietnam and Cambodia.
Not one to like group tours I found Asia Pioneer and more importantly Kara.
From the basic private itinerary of ‘bay to Angkor’ she helped us tailor an itinerary to suit our needs.
From the moment we walked out of the arrivals hall, we were greeted by our guide with a brightly printed welcoming sign with our name on it, we were looked after for our every needs. Itinerary changes to suit, never a problem. The 4 Star Hotels were above expectation. Tour guides knowledgeable without being into too much detail as some are.
Car and driver clean and comfortable. Sites and activities wonderous. Halong Bay boat luxurious, views and meals exceptional. An amendment to the itinerary substituted a private cruise up the Mekong Delta in a luxurious Sampan the Cai Be Princess with 3 crew to look after our needs. Staying overnight in the Ancient house. As well as stops on the way to see very interesting ‘idustries’ , floating markets, a 4 course home cooked meal was made by the young lady in attendance. Visits to the many temples in the Angkor area were organisedd I miss the tour groups. The guide knowledgable, taking us to the best sites.
This is a trib and organisations to be highly recommended. Ask for the ‘Mirabello’ itinerary.

We spent 29 days in SE Asia traveling from southern Thailand to northern Thailand, on to Siem Reap , Cambodia and then Vietnam from the mountain highlands in the north to the Mekong River Delta in the South. Quyen made all the arrangements and made it all seem so simple. He arranged our internal flights, our hotels, wonderful guides and helped us put together a fabulous itinerary. My husband and I joined by two friends recently toured Vietnam for 12 days – what an incredible experience it was . I found Asia Pioneer and chose them among other companies because of their great reviews on social media and the quick and reliable correspondence we received on our inquiries by our tour representative Mr. Lam. I started planning our vacation about a year before we left and he worked hard, was patient, and provided meaningful advise as we planned and put together a wonderful private tour. Mr. Lam put together a comprehensive proposal that included Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. The 22-day itinerary we decided on was inclusive of many of the historical/archeological, cultural, and ethnic areas of these countries. This was our first time visiting these countries and the sights more than met our expectations. As far as the personnel, the guides were all very knowledgeable, and accommodating. In their own way, each made us feel comfortable and safe during our tours, as well as, making the day fun. We enjoyed being with all of them and we made good memories together. The drivers were all courteous, safe, and the vehicles were clean and comfortable. The entire trip went without any hitches, the guides were prompt and for the most part, except when we agreed, followed the planned itinerary. Asia Pioneer partnered with another agency, Myanmar Shalom for the portion of the trip in Myanmar. I can say the same for them, they also provided exceptional services. Our trip was challenging and very active and we would had not been able to do what we accomplished without having experienced guides. They were on top of every detail of the day and made sure that things went well. Kudos to your field staff Mr. Lam, they picked up where you left off. I already made a referral your way and will not hesitate to do so again. I highly recommendation your services to all who read this feedback.
