Excellent trip, amazing service from Asia Pioneer!

We just recently completed a fantastic trip through Vietnam with Asia Pioneer. It was very well organised and Mr Lam, our main contact at Asia Pioneer, was incredibly helpful and professional, and communicated really well with us throughout the holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and he very patiently assisted with lots of changes! Our tour guides were great and we really enjoyed every aspect of the trip – my personal highlight was the 2 days we spent in Halong Bay, such a gorgeous place. If you’re planning a trip to Vietnam I highly recommend contacting Lam at Asia Pioneer to organise it for you!

Indo Pioneer provides excellent service!

We (family of 4) traveled to North Thailand with Asia Pioneer (“IP”) for 15 days. This was our second trip with IP we previously traveled to Vietnam. The service provided by IP, Ms. Ruby, was outstanding. Our guides were very knowledgeable, spoke good English, and were very accommodating to last minute changes in our itinerary. The drivers were equally outstanding, always on time, drove safely, and very helpful. I highly recommend IP for travel to SE Asia.

amazing tour of Vietnam

My husband and I have just completed an 11 day tour from Hanoi to Saigon with Asia Pioneers. We have found their service to be highly professional, impeccably organised and faultless throughout. The highlights for us was the Halong Bay cruise (on a Bhaya boat) and the caves at Dong Hoi.
Lam answered all queries quickly, made itenerary changes without any hassle and made the whole process simple for us. The guides were knowledgeable and spoke perfect English and the drivers were certainly very skilled in negotiating the Vietnamese traffic.
Hotels used (4 star for us) were incredible value and Lam’s list of restaurant recommendations came in very handy.
We would definitely use this company again.

Personal service was outstanding; itinerary was personalized for our interests

Prior to booking, we communicated extensively with Miss Ruby about our preferences, which included a focus on area agriculture, culture, and history. The staff at Indochina created an itinerary that covered every area-every day. We were always on the move…by foot, on an assortment of boats on an assortment of waterways, by plane, by sleeper train, by luxury bus, by small (as in 4 cars) ferry across the Red River, in a tuk-tuk, and on bikes 6-10 hours a day. In 17 days we traveled from the Mekong Delta to Sapa (in the mountains 24 miles south of the Chinese border). Each guide excelled in his knowledge of the culture, industry, and history of every area we traveled. We even visited a small but phenomenal agriculture museum devoted to rice production that we had to travel to on one lane paths through rice patties and past water buffalo, cows, and fishermen to get to. We traveled by fishing boat through the Xuan Thuy National Park to observe shell fishing practices and migratory birds, capped off with a fresh cooked seafood lunch (featuring local fish and shellfish) eaten in one of the fishing huts built on stilts in the coastal zone of the Red River Delta and the National Park. We hiked through the rice terraces in Sapa. We visited an organic garden, a farm that harvests sea salt, a farmer who produces fish and shrimp sauce in barrels behind his house, a family who harvests coconuts and honey, a family brick making operation that still uses giant beehive kilns to dry bricks, and a family business where we saw a child assisting his grandmother in the weaving of a bamboo mat. We spent many pleasurable hours in a car driving from one part of the country to another. The guides never tired of our questions about what we were seeing, and the drivers were so accomplished when it came to any type of terrain that we always felt comfortable. My husband is 70 and I am 65. We plan to return for another Indochina tour. We think we have the energy to pull off another, although at times we did look at each other and say, “Do you think the guide will forget about the last thing in the itinerary?” No, that never happened, and we are happy it did not, because some of those sunset and evening activities were the most memorable. I should mention that our Home Stay was a wonderful experience and encourage everyone to add this to the itinerary.

An unforgettable Indochina World HeritageTour.

Recently in August this year, my husband and I did a private 21 day trip with Asia Pioneer to Vietnam , Cambodia and Laos. Although we followed much of the World Heritage itinerary listed on their website, we found Kata more than willing to add on more days, change activities to suit our requests and advise us on the best time to travel. It was lovely to meet her when we were in Hanoi and we have formed a lasting friendship with her and our other guides.
Before our trip, I have to admit to being anxious about the authenticity of Asia Pioneer and the reviews I read. I’m happy to say that all my worries proved to be wrong and we had our best ever holiday with a fantastic itinerary, well organised pick ups, accommodations and outings.
I have already been recommending them to friends and family and we can’t believe how affordable it was to receive such individual attention and care that we received on our trip.
We chose budget/ boutique accommodation and found it not only more than satisfactory but also a more authentic experience of the places we visited. We learned so much more about the lives and cultures of where we visited by interacting with our guides, drivers and the wonderful staff of these smaller hotels.
i cannot speak highly enough of everything to do with our trip. It was just a fantastic introduction for us to Asia and I am really looking forward to using Asia Pioneer again to plan another trip and see places we missed on our first visit. Marion Good Victoria Australia

Most wonderful time

I visited Cambodia and Vietnam with my brother and sister. Everything was planned and flowed beautifully. Transportation, events, accomodations, and tour guides were excellent. My first visit to Asia was an amazing experience and one that I will always remember. I plan to return in the very near future and will look to Ms. Ruby at Asia Pioneer to plan the trip. Thank you so much for the wonderful time.
