I was in Viet Nam for 18days on a solo tour for the first time in my life. I have dealt with Mr Lam who was a Director of the company. He was very negotiable, very responsive to my eMails, very reasonable, very active respectable young man. While I am on my tour, according to the agreed schedule I wanted to replace with some other attractions which I really liked after I heard about that particular attraction. I thought it was not possible because I have agreed for everything in black n white. But after sending an eMail to Mr Lam, he was very happy to change the schedule according to my request without charging any extra. He is really approachable and very flexible. I can recommend him to any traveller around the world. Even he has contacted me(in Australia) several times over phone from Viet Nam. Asia Pioneer has booked all my domestics flights without any problem. And also they have booked nice, comfortable (3 to 4 stars)hotels, Home stays, Boutique hotels starting from HoChiMing City , Da Lat, Nha Tranh, Hue, Ha Noi, Sa Pa and Halong Bay. The packages included all breakfasts, and some lunches. I did not have any problems with hot water in any of the accommodations I had. Indochina Pionneer chosen me a best cruise liner for my overnight stay in Halong Bay. That was the best cruise I ever had with a balcony. All the guides and drivers were very thorough in their fields of expertise in explaining the history of attractions while driving to the sites and on-sites. All the guides I had in my journey were very helpful. All the drivers were very good in their defensive driving techniques specially in hilly places and on very narrow roads. Even I got sick with muscle cramp on my calf while walking and could not walk further..that time the guide has given me a good relaxing massage on the roadside for about half an hour and could start walking with a bit of a pain again after that. They were so helpful when you are in trouble or in pain or need any medical attention.They are very well trained. I do not have anything to complain about Asia Pioneer Travel Co. in Ha Noi. I will consider the same company for my future travel to (Asia) Cambodia, Thailand and Laos in future. I think they have the best competitive deals I ever gone thru’ with other local companies. I did not have any problems with food where I ate from their hotels they have booked. Thanks Mr Lam for hosting a grand lunch for me on my last day in Ha Noi just before my departure to Australia. We just returned from our three weeks in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and could not be happier with the arrangements Lam made for us. We were two couples, and wanted a five star tour. Based on the hotels, guides, cruises, etc, we got everything we asked for, at prices far more reasonable than other companies (like AK).
We began and ended in HCM City, to facilitate our international travel through HKG. Using the detailed itinerary which Lam proposed to us, we were able to make modifications to suit our preferences. And wherever available, we flew business class between cities – private airport lounges and special transport to and from planes, makes the small extra cost well worth the expense.
The cruise on HaLong Bay was a magical. Watching the monks receive alms, before dawn in Luang Prabang Laos, and the floating fishing village outside Siem Reap Cambodia, were my highlights.
But so many memories.
Given the US history in SE Asia, I wasn’t sure how we would be received. So I was more than pleasantly surprised at how friendly virtually everyone was.
If we had it to do over, we would hire Indochine Pioneer without hesitation. They have truly earned all their favorable reviews.

This was our 1 st trip to Indochina and we were looking forward to it.
Lam helped us to plan our trip. He did a good job overall but being myself in the tourist bussness I think it is important that I be honest with him.
Our 1 st stop was Hanoi , our guide Nam was OK ,his english was not great and he spend a lot of time on his phone, but he was friendly and very respectfull.
on the next stop in Holong Bay Lam chose Aclass cruise ,the guide Tom was really nice and help us thru a very difficult situation,.,
On our trip to Hue and Hoi An our guide Mr Bang was very knowledgeable and spoke good english, the driver was good also.
The best guide we had was in HO Chi Ming city, Tiger spoke great english and was eager to show us and tell us everything about his city. He was very passionate about everything.
In SIem Reap we had a good guide as well and a great english speaking driver from T.J Go car rental.
So 3 out of 4 is pretty good.
As far as the hotels were concerned they were good , but the one in Siem Reap was too far from the city but good.
We wanted to visit PhnomPenh but according to Lam it was not worth it, we did it anyway on our own and it was really worth iand we should insist on saying that one should make it a point to visit it (Lam we found a great hotel FIT: OK boutique hotel)
.Had a little argument with Lam as we had too many days without activities planned but I guess we should have told him that we were the type of couple that wants to do a lot during our vacations I had also mentionned that I did not like to be taken to places that tried to sell you something but that never fails the guides do end up taking us to places like that.
All the cars and the drivers were very good and we felt very safe.
Overall our trip was well planned , there were few places that we could have visited if we had been told before , but it was too late we heard about it from people on different tours. We were willing to extend our stay as we actually did on our own.
Another thing we would have liked a few more lunches incorporated in our tours as like when we were taken straight from the airport to Cu Chi tunnels and there were no place to have lunch…..
We were promised a phone with data in each city but our guides did not know anything about it.
Overall it was a great 1 st trip and we liked the Vietnamese people and the Cambogian people.
Both the countries are beautifful and we hope that they will keep their originality as we saw a lot of construction going on with way too mordern buildings.
Thank Lam and all your guides for enjoying our trip and feeling that we must visit again in the near future.

I have travelled the World extensively and this year wanted to explore with a friend – Laos, Cambodia and Chiang Mai. I contacted Mr Lam Duong Dai of Asia Pioneer Co Ltd.
Lam was great, he did what we wanted to do and also included places that he thought we would be interested To us. Everything was done very quickly and efficiently. Any query was responded to immediately.
We did not want to stay in the flash hotels but wanted some comforts. Lam arranged accommodation for us in character hotels right in the city centers with all amenities and air conditioning. They were fantastic.
I will be using Lam again in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending him.

My husband and I wanted to go on a one month vacation to Cambodia and Vietnam on a personalized private tour to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Among other agencies, we found Asia Pioneer on Trip Advisor. After contacting several of them, Mr. Lam, of I.P., stood out from the rest. Over four months and multiple iterations, he proved to be a great organizer and arranger. He was always patient, helpful, and willing to be accommodating. In the end, he planned an incredible tour, which greatly satisfied our love of history and nature. In addition, he never failed to keep in mind the fact that I had some mobility issues, which limited some of our ability to fulfill our natural curiosities.

At the start of the trip, we arrived in HCMC one day early. At our request, Mr. Lam moved up the whole itinerary by one day. All the arrangements for boats, guides, and hotels were changed without a single error or grumble.

Mr. Lam was there for us throughout the whole trip. He provided us with a local cell phone on the first day. Any time we had a concern or wanted to make an addition or change, all we had to do was call, and he always responded promptly. Once during a taxi ride in Hanoi, the taxi driver couldn’t find our destination. We called Mr. Lam, and he quickly directed the taxi driver to our museum. Another time, after leaving a well loved piece of clothing in a hotel room in Cambodia, Mr. Lam was able to surprise us by handing us this piece of clothing in HCMC, just before leaving Vietnam.

We met Mr. Lam personally twice while in Hanoi, and he was as gracious and charming in person as by email or on the phone. His English is outstanding and clear. All in all, I would have to say that our one month trip to Cambodia and Vietnam was exceptional in every way. And there is no doubt that this is due to the outstanding planning, seamless transfers, and mostly terrific guides provided to us by Asia Pioneer.

Our family got back from our Cambodia and Vietnam trip about two weeks ago, We all agree that Asia Pioneer prepared a fantastic and unforgettable tour.
We had 5 different drivers that were all safe and considerate and 5 tour guides that were all caring, entertaining, intelligent, enthusiastic and well spoken with good English.
Our family was looked after really well by the guides, the drivers and at the places of our stay. The day meals, accommodation and travels were excellently organized and enjoyable. There is so much to do and so much to take in and our itinerary was non stop adventure time; some highlights in our tour included visiting the historic Angkor wat temple, cu chi tunnels, Meekong delta day trip and the 2 day cruise in mystical Ha Long bay – all are “must see’s”
We thank Asia Pioneer for a fantastic time especially Mr. Quyen who made it flow so smoothly. We definitely would recommend using Asia Pioneer when you plan to visit Cambodia and Vietnam.
