Our family of five had an incredible journey through Vietnam, and we are deeply grateful to Asia Pioneer Travel for making it such a seamless, memorable, and enriching experience.

With only 17 days to explore the country, we wanted a trip that was stress-free, well organized, and enjoyable for the entire family. Asia Pioneer Travel exceeded our expectations in every way. From the very beginning, Rachel Pham was a pleasure to work with. She carefully coordinated every detail of our itinerary, ensuring that everything was perfectly arranged, right down to our meal plans. Her attention to detail and personal touch made all the difference. We were particularly touched when she met us at our hotel on the first day to personally welcome us and send us on our journey through Vietnam.

Our itinerary included Hanoi, Sapa, Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Saigon, and Can Tho. Although unfavorable weather prevented us from visiting Ha Long Bay, Rachel quickly worked her magic and arranged an earlier flight to Hue, allowing us to enjoy additional experiences in Hoi An instead. Her flexibility and dedication turned a disappointment into a wonderful opportunity.

In Hanoi, we were warmly welcomed by our first guide, Mr. Hang, who introduced us to the city’s vibrant streets and incredible food scene. His knowledge of Vietnamese history and culture was impressive, and he shared it with both passion and enthusiasm. Thanks to him, our family gained a deeper appreciation for Hanoi before he sent us off in style aboard the Chapa train to Sapa.

In Sapa, we met our second guide, Mr. Bob, whose love for the region was truly inspiring. Through village visits, scenic hikes, and authentic local cuisine, he introduced us to the natural beauty and rich culture of the area. His genuine care and enthusiasm made our time there unforgettable. Sapa is an absolutely stunning destination and, in our opinion, a hidden gem that should not be missed.

For Hue, Hoi An, and Da Nang, we had the pleasure of being guided by Mr. Sang, whose kindness, professionalism, and knowledge enhanced every experience. He carefully tailored our visits to places we wanted to see while providing fascinating insights into Vietnamese history and culture. From exploring the Imperial City in Hue, to strolling through the Ancient Town of Hoi An, releasing lanterns on evening boat rides, and visiting Ba Na Hills in Da Nang, every moment was thoughtfully planned. One especially memorable experience arranged by Rachel was a private jeep tour in a restored American War-era vehicle. This unique excursion gave us the opportunity to meet local artisans, learn about traditional basket and mat weaving, and see the process of making rice noodles. It was an authentic and unforgettable glimpse into local life.

When we arrived in Saigon, we were fortunate to be accompanied by Mr. Binh and Linh, who guided us through the energy and excitement of the city before accompanying us to our family’s home province of Can Tho. One of the highlights of our stay was a Vespa food tour that Rachel had arranged for us. We highly recommend this experience. Linh was fantastic, showing us the sights, sounds, and flavors of Saigon by night while ensuring we felt comfortable and well cared for throughout. He also guided us through our Can Tho adventures, including cycling through orchards and visiting beautiful forest areas. We especially appreciated the balance between guided activities and personal time, allowing us to enjoy the nightlife on our own and relax at our resort before returning home.

Reflecting on our journey, we can confidently say that our experience was so meaningful because of the care, professionalism, and dedication of the entire Asia Pioneer Travel team. They were incredibly flexible in creating a customized itinerary that perfectly suited our family’s needs. Every aspect of the trip was handled with excellence, including flights, transportation, drivers, tours, guides, accommodations, and meal arrangements. Fabuleux! It was our first visit to Indochine (I’m 80 and my wife is 76) but we never felt even slightly uncomfortable. We had a great experience both in Vietnam & Cambodia. The trip was meticulously planned by Rachel from Asia Pioneer Travel and every experience was organized with great care and attention to details. All the hotels and cars in the various cities were great, the tour guides in the cities we travelled were extremely knowledgeable and courteous. The cruise on Halong Bay was super awesome! It was a spectacular trip. We took a private family tour—just the three of us—and the service was outstanding; the guides and drivers were always attentive, and everything was perfect. We ran into a setback during the trip, but the agency and its representatives stayed on top of the situation the whole time, helping me resolve everything and supporting me through the entire process so we could continue our journey.
