I decided on a last minute solo trip to Vietnam. I was there from Dec 29 2024- Jan 12 2025. Started in Northern Vietnam (Hanoi, SaPa, Ha Long Bay), made my way to Central Vietnam (Da Nang and Hoi An) and finished in Southern Vietnam (Ho Chi Mihn and Mekong Delta).

I didnt have much time to plan it out, so I was figuring out how to maximize my experience. I had done some research and came across Asia Pioneer Travel. I read great reviews and decided to reach out to them. After an intial phone call, I was promptly emailed by Mr. Winston. Mr. Winston opened a line of communication with me and made sure he understood what kind of experience I was interested in. At, first i was thinking of visiting Vietnam and Cambodia. Mr. Winston created an itinerary for both Vietnam and Cambodia, and an itinerary for just Vietnam. I decided to to stick with spending 14 days in Vietnam. From there, Mr. Winston worked with me to help tailor an intinerary I was happy with. I let him know some things i wanted to to see and some areas I wanted to visit while there. He was always very quick and responsive to my requests. Once the itinerary was where i was happy, i went ahead and booked it. You can choose the type of hotels you want to stay in as well (1-4 Stars etc.) Everything was included in the final price (domestic flights, Hotels, tours with vehicle, airport transfers and even E-visa). The only thing i had to book myself was my flights to and from Vietnam. The best part was, all i had to do is show up! Most of my tours were private with a private vehicle. It did include some group tours as well. My initial concern was that my days would be jam packed and felt rushed. Well rest assure, it was completely opposite. I never felt like i didnt have time to enjoy something. Most late afternoons to evenings was leisure time. I did request a few days through out my trip be leisure days. So on those days you can do what ever you feel like doing. I usually used them to sleep in a little bit and go explore things not on my itinerary. Mr. WInston kept in touch with me from first contact all the way to the end of my trip. He always made sure everything was going smooth. He was always very quick to respond as well if I had a question or needed something while in Vietnam. I would highly reccomend using Asia Pioneer Travel, if you need help with planning out a SE Asia trip Itinerary. I will plan to use them again in the future!

A magnificent holiday from start to finish. I was interested in doing a trip to Thailand with about 6 nights in Bangkok, 5 nights in Chiang Mai and 6 nights in Koh Samui and by accident came across Winston Dinh at Asia Pioneer travel. He told me he could organise such a trip for us 2 couples including 4-star accommodation, tour guides and drivers, in country airlines and side trips. It worked out great. Can not thank him enough.

My wife and myself spent 10 days in Vietnam. We tried the travel agencies in Adelaide but were not satisfied with the proposed tours/schedules. So we tried Asia Pioneer Travel. Right from our 1st correspondence until our last day day in Vietnam, Asia Pioneer Travel were exceptional. From Winston in the office to Tom and Alex (our personal tour guides in Hanoi and Hoi An, as well as the drivers), their service and organisation was outstanding. I’ve always wanted to do a South East Asia trip and came across Asia Pioneer Travel and thought I would send off an enquiry. I was contacted by Winston, one of the company’s tour designers and loved the fact that I could customise the trip to suit our own interests and pace. Winston took the time to find out what we really wanted from our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, taking in our need for some free time and slower pace due to knee issues and put together the perfect itinerary for us. He answered all my (many) questions promptly and courteously. I was so impressed I decided to ask him to add Thailand to our itinerary so we ended up spending almost 4 marvellous weeks away exploring South East Asia. Everything went smoothly, our hoteks, drivers and guides were great, sites were breathtaking and Winston was always available and kept in touch throughout our trip to make sure we were happy right up to when we got back home. There were way too many highlights to list but we were most touched by the many surprises on our trip that were organised by Winston and his team when he realised we were celebrating our birthdays and anniversary on this trip. It really made us feel special e.g. when he met us at our hotel in Hanoi with a birthday cake as it was my husband’s birthday that day. He definitely didn’t forget mine either which was celebrated on our Halong Bay cruise as was our anniversary. This was the first time my husband and I have ever done a private tour as we usually go on group tours but I am so glad we chose Asia Pioneer Travel. It was as close to perfect as you could get. At the last minute, myself, husband and 12 year old daughter decided to visit Vietnam. With only 3-4 weeks to go we found Winston and within 24 hours we had an itinerary! Winston listened to what we wanted and certainly delivered. We didn’t want to tour in a group, but we did want a guide and driver. Our tour was personalised to meet our family’s needs.

We flew into HMC and met Lucy who looked after us with such care as we visited the city then out to the Meekong Delta.

Next we flew to HoiAn and met Cuong, again we were so well cared for. We then flew to Hanoi and met Marcus who was awesome.

All our guides were amazing, knowledgeable, and always included our daughter. It felt like travelling with friends. I will also mention that we felt safe with our drivers and very comfortable in our private mini buses.

Lastly, we did a cruise in Halong Bay and as it was my husband’s birthday, Winston had arranged a surprise celebration on the boat. It’s things like this that you remember forever.

Vietnam is an amazing place to visit, the people are so friendly and we had zero negative experiences.

Visas, internal flights, accommodation and activities were all organised for us, no stress at all.

We will certainly use Asia Pioneer Travel again.

I was reluctant at first when my friend found this agency, but Mr Winston, our travel agent, did a great job of setting up a variety of events for our group of 11 women and his guides were great at adapting to our groups wishes on a day by day basis. Since day 1 I received a very professional, warm and helpful service from Winston at Asia Pioneer Travel. I want to be honest, it was SO PERFECT that at times it went through my mind that it was a scam, (sorry Winston). Well, Winston and the entire staff at Asia Pioneer Travel are real people who worked very hard at providing my family and I with an unforgettable trip full of incredible moments that we will cherish for ever! Our trip was very well planned according to our needs and executed superbly to the very last detail. My two teenagers were so disappointed when it came to an end and had to come back home. Our family holiday was to Vietnam and Cambodia over 17 days. We started in Hanoi and travelled all the way down to Ho Chi Min city and then to Cambodia. Winston from Asian Pioneer Travel was our tour agent. Winston was very attentive to our preferences and customised the itinerary to our liking. Throughout the planning process Winston has been very responsive and accommodative with any requests or changes through WhatsApp. He even spent time to run through and explain the tour program and answer all our questions over the phone. All our bookings and arrangements were done to perfection with no hiccups. We had four different tour guides and drivers who were all very professional. Even when we were there Winston was available and happy to answer any questions when required. He organised two data SIMs for us on arrival which were very handy. We highly recommend Winston.

We had been trying to organise a 4 week trip with 2 weeks of it being in Vietnam North to south and a few days in Thailand.
Trying to organise it through a well known Australian Travel agent proved to be ridiculously hard until I was given Travel Pioneer and travel agent Winston Dinh, contact details.
I contacted Winston from Asia Pioneer Travel and gave him a list of places we wanted to see and things we wanted to do, within a week Winston had given us an itinerary that suited us and sounded wonderful! We instantly said YES! And just nutted out some finer details and was done within two weeks of initial message sent.
We had transfers, private English speaking guides and a lot of fun!
It was so personalised and exactly what we asked for, it was easy to change plans if we wanted, they absolutely catered for everything we wanted! Hands down no fuss!

Winston from Asio Pioneer was a great help in designing our private tour to Cambodia and Vietnam with great understanding of our desires and limitations as well as offering etraordinary elements, that suited our needs exactly.
With a private driver and guide in every location, organization was flawless. The choice of hotels was excellent and many exquisite meals were part of our booking. Each one an experience for itself.
The locations of our trip proved to be highlights. The visits well-timed and of good length, avoiding too much time in one location. We omitted leisure time in a beach location, but that is simply due to our lack of love for sand and beach.
Whenever we had a question, Winston was available immediately. Each guide in each location also shared their whatsapp number, allowing very easy communication to time pick up or answer questions.
Vietnam has so much to offer and a key element for this trip is the variety of experiences and views during the trip. We loved each single activity as maximum comfort was ensured all the time.
We have had many trips across the world and we are quite spoilt and peculiar in our needs and desires. We find it easy to recommend Winston and Asia Pioneer to the fullest as they really made an outstanding trip at a very reasonable price.

Winston organised a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia for us and it was fabulous! He tailored the trip to cover everything we wanted to do and was so helpful with all our questions leading up to the trip. We were looked after so well, being met off of each flight by our lovely guides who were excellent. Asia Pioneer delivered on everything they had promised in their detailed itinerary that we received before we left Ireland. Winston was our main point of contact, and he dealt with us in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner throughout. We travelled from Hanoi, making our way south to Ho Chi Minh City before flying on to Cambodia for another 6 days. We used a private car throughout, with a driver and guide at every destination. Everything was top quality, and we enjoyed our trip very much. Although we are senior citizens, there was little, if any, stress. All the tours and hotels that Asia Pioneer recommended were top-class. We couldn’t recommend Asia Pioneer enough and would certainly use them again if travelling in that region.

We went on the “Best of Vietnam and Cambodia Tour” and it was a fantastic trip. Mr. Winston our travel advisor created a trip with the sites and places we wanted to see. Mr. Winston was always available on WhatsApp to inform us of when we would be picked up and by whom.
Every part of the trip went smoothly.
I learned so much about life in Vietnam and ate great food.
I am a vegetarian and it was easy finding vegetarian food and seafood options at the hotel breakfasts and included lunches.
The hotels were boutique hotels in great locations near restaurants and shopping.
We want to specifically thank our guide in Hoi An Mr. Chong. He went above and beyond the expected to show us restaurants, and help us with a magical lantern boat ride and lantern release on the Hoai river.
I am very happy with Asia Pioneer Travel and would definitely recommend them to anyone going to Vietnam and Cambodia.

We had an amazing 5 day trip in Thailand. Winston planned the agenda perfectly, allowing us to take in unforgettable sights and experiences in a relatively short period.

Tito, our guide, was full of energy and enthusiasm, constantly enlightening us with the history and stories, not to mention his creative video & photo shoots that he did for us at every location .

We went from 12/18-24 to 1/3/25 on the SE Asia natural and food discovery tour. My wife and I decided to go on this trip in November without any prior knowledge of this company and very little in the countries we would visit. Mr Winston and Asia Pioneer Travel could not have been nicer to us. They delivered everything they promised in their trip. I was a bit concerned about this trip as we had been to India before and the sites and food are more exotic than most places. However, the guides were great and we got picked up and dropped off and had a guide with us to make the many activities we had go smoothly. The guides were happy to help is with whatever we needed including carrying lots of ice, cold bottles water for us.
We have travelled overseas extensively and this is one of the most action packed and memorable trips we have had.
At our request, this travel company switched part of our visit from Phuket, Thailand to Angkor Wat, Cambodia (which is the biggest religious site in the world and has some awesome temples) and they added a water puppet show (so fun) in Hanoi for us. We enjoyed the itinerary. We saw many different sites and tried many types of food on the food tours. We couldn’t have been happier on this trip. We highly recommend them. Great trip! Thanks Winston, for our amazingly planned Vietnam adventure. You were more than terrific and attentive to our every need. I felt like we were your only clients. My wife and I had it on our bucket list to take a trip to Vietnam. We did some inquiries and got in touch with Asia Pioneer travel . Winston Dinh was the person who was assigned to us . Let me say he was best to deal with. He was very easy to communicate with and very readily available if we had any questions or concerns. He custom tailored the trip just for the two of us . We started with North Vietnam with Hanoi and Ha Lang bay cruise . For Central Vietnam we visited Hue seeing the Citadel and then moving on to Da Nang and Hoy An . On the way we saw the oyster form. Then we flew to Cambodia and then back to the last limb of our trip seeing the beautiful city of Saigon including a day trip to Mekong delta seeing the floating village and going on boat through its waterways . Wow !! it was every bit to our satisfaction . We had a driver with comfortable vehicle and tour guide at all destinations . There was no glitch anywhere be it being picked up at the airports or going on for the daily excursions .

The best of all was the tour organizer Winston whom we can’t thank enough for organizing the trip and most of all being available and helpful all times and especially at the time of need .

We just finished an amazing 18-day trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. Winston Dinh was our travel designer. He went above and beyond his duty to make sure that we had a perfect trip. He was always available to respond to our request and/or questions. We could not ask for a better travel designer.
The only one thing we wish that our hotels in Da Nang and Hoi An would-be walking distance to the center of night light activities. Other than that, we were very happy with our hotel arrangement.

From the start, Winston of Asia Pioneer Travel was very helpful, knowledgeable,patient and went above and beyond what he promised and what we expected. He designed the travel plan per our requirements, time and needs, Winston was always available through Whatsapp or was just a phone call away.
The trip started from Hanoi, which included a chauffeured car AND an English speaking guide. The hotels booked were elegant and exquisite with exceptional staff and service. The details to which APT paid attention to, when it came to selecting the hotels was awesome.
At the middle of the trip, Vietnam was hit by a Typhoon and overnight, Winston changed our travel plan to a different direction of the country and we did not miss anything. He paid attention to our safety, and replanned our trip on a short notice, away from the Typhoon.
The English speaking guide, Jackie was great, full of historical facts and was flexible, adjusting the day plans to our wants and needs. He always told us to tell him if we wanted to do something that he did not let us know in the beginning of the day so that he can adjust the day plan. That was very nice of him.
Winston did not just plan the trip but also came to the hotel to check on us and inquire about the trip, We ended up having a nice chat for a longer time than expected.

I just had the best 2.5 weeks travelling by myself around Vietnam and Cambodia and it was all thanks to the organisation and dedication of Asia Pioneer Travel. My family and I had one of the best travel experiences so far in Northern Vietnam. We stayed for 11 days and visited Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Sapa and Halong/Lan Ha Bay (Cruise).
