Central Vietnam Highlights: Hoi An to Ba Na Hills

A warm greeting awaits at Da Nang International airport; your private guide and driver will meet you OUTSIDE the arrivals lounge and transfer you to your hotel in Da Nang.

Please look for your tour guide, who will hold up a sign with your names.

While we make every effort to have your room available upon arrival, check-in is at 02:00 pm, and your room may not be ready before this time. Your tour guide will provide additional details about your stay and will be available to answer any questions. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Please note: Your travel documents contain a Vietnam eVisa (unless otherwise arranged). Please ensure to pack this in your carry-on luggage. Your Vietnam eVisa must be presented to Customs upon entry into the country.

After breakfast, enjoy a short transfer to the ancient town of Hoi An, a beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its lantern-lit streets, historic merchant houses, and charming riverside atmosphere. Upon arrival, begin your day tour by embarking on a leisurely bicycle ride through the peaceful countryside toward the Thu Bon River.

Cycle along quiet village lanes, passing lush rice fields, palm forests, small bridges, and grazing water buffalo.

Stop at Cam Thanh Village and enjoy a traditional basket boat ride through the Water Coconut Palm Forest, with time to try fishing and crab catching. Continue cycling to Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village to learn about traditional, sustainable farming methods, and visit a local home for a relaxing herbal foot soak.

After lunch, continue to explore Hoi An Ancient Town on a guided walking tour, visiting highlights such as Chua Ong Pagoda, Tan Ky Ancient House, Fujian Assembly Hall, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. Visit the Precious Heritage Museum to gain deeper insight into Vietnam’s diverse ethnic cultures.

Enjoy a quiet tea experience at Reaching Out Tea House, followed by a hands-on lantern-making workshop with a local craftsman. End the day with a boat ride on the Hoai River, releasing flower lanterns for good luck as the town glows beautifully at night.

After the tour, transfer back to Da Nang. Arrive at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight in Da Nang.

After breakfast, your private guide will pick you up and transfer you from your hotel to Ba Na Hills, a unique mountain resort and theme park perched at 1,500 meters above sea level. Originally developed by the French in the 1920s as a retreat from the summer heat, Ba Na Hills still offers a refreshing climate and a blend of history, nature, and entertainment.

Begin your journey with a ride on the Ba Na Hills cable car, one of the longest and highest in the world, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Upon arrival, visit highlights such as Linh Ung Pagoda, Loc Uyen Garden, and Quan Am Pavilion. Continue to explore the Monkey Garden and reach God Mountain, the highest peak in central Vietnam.

Take a leisurely walk along the iconic Golden Bridge, seemingly floating amidst the misty hills, and enjoy spectacular views over Da Nang. You may choose to have lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area (at your own expense), and spend some time at Fantasy Park with its wide range of games and attractions (optional, at your own expense).

In the afternoon, descend by cable car back to the foot of the mountain, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure—perhaps take a relaxing stroll along the beach or explore local spots to sample fresh seafood.

Overnight in Da Nang.

We’ll pick you up at the hotel in Da Nang and transfer you to Marble Mountain.

Discover the Marble Mountains and stop for a walk along the site to see the local factories of stone sculptures, the most impressive handicrafts village in Da Nang.

Check in the Marble Mountains by climbing up to the top. Here we will see beautiful pagodas which were made in the 19th century by the last dynasty of the Vietnamese monarchy, and visit Huyền Không or Tàng Chơn caves.

Continue to visit the largest and most fascinating cave, Am Phu Cave. You will learn about Buddhist philosophies and take photos of remarkable natural formations.

Our van will transfer you to Monkey Mountain. A giant statue of Lady Buddha with a beautiful background, such as mountains and a huge garden of bonsai, would draw your attention. You will definitely get lost in the garden of heaven with gripping stories when gently walking and enjoying a fresh breeze.

Spending the remaining time relaxing on the beach.

Overnight in Da Nang.

Enjoy your free time at the hotel until after breakfast, when your private driver will greet you and transfer you to Da Nang International Airport for your onward flight home or to your next destination.
