My family and me recently spent a week in Vietnam (from 23 Dec 2025 to 28 Dec 2025) touring the north of the country (covering Hanoi, Ha Long Bay) and the south (covering Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta). It was a fantastic and all-round outstanding experience for me and each member of my family. Each of our destinations in the north and south of Vietnam offered us unique perspectives on Vietnam’s culture and history—Hanoi with its traditional charm, Ha Long Bay with its unique landscape, Ho Chi Minh City with its vibrant, modern energy and the Mekong Delta with its waterways supporting a wide variety of industries.

They were passionate about sharing the history of Vietnam (especially the Vietnam War which I was particularly interested in) and the rich culture of each of their respective cities. Last but not least, they chose a combination of up market restaurants and street vendors for our various meals so that we could experience and enjoy the fantastic variety of Vietnamese cuisine out there. In my opinion, these insights of their truly added much value to our overall experience in Vietnam.
