My husband and I were interested in visiting Vietnam and found Kata at Asia Pioneer who gave us a sample itinerary to look at. It sounded good so we went for it. Everything we did; the hotels, sights, inner-country flights, transfers, guides, etc. were planned by Kata with perfection. She even came to see us at our hotel in Hanoi. She is adorable! We wanted to get the ‘flavor’ of Vietnam and see as much as we could in 9 days. We started in Hanoi (Northern), went to Halong Bay (overnight on small cruise ship), then to Hoi An (Center), and on to Ho Chi Minh City (Southern). We walked, ate, biked, boated, ate, shopped… and did I mention eating? Everyone we met was friendly and prices of everything were very low. I would recommend Asia Pioneer and Vietnam to everyone!

My husband and I are regular international travellers and we cannot rate this company highly enough. If I could give them 6 stars I would. They organised a faultlessly planned week long tour for us of Hanoi, Halong Bay and Hoi An. Everything we did was interesting and well-executed, but most importantly, when we got to the airport I realised I had left my iPhone at a pharmacy en route. With supreme efficiency they organised for our taxi driver to pick it up and return it to us at the airport. Outstanding service and incredible value for money.

As a former travel agent i have organized many tours and holidays. The level of service of Asia Pioneer far exceeded my expectations. Everything was arranged and worked well, nice and easy. My only comment is to you the client. As it is a private tour, we wished we had arranged a few more free days along the way, it was a very busy 15 days and we should’ve stretched it out a bit to slow the pace down. Would definitely recommend Asia Pioneer and would use them again.

Asia Pioneer was recommended to me by a friend who used them about an year earlier – great tip! I didn’t even contact my tour agent (Kata Tran) until about a month and a half before we ended up going to Vietnam, but she was still able to plan and book everything we wanted to do. We even changed up the order of the cities we visited (Hanoi, Hue, and HoiAn) two weeks before the trip and they were able to accommodate! I was worried about managing all of our children (family trip with 3 adults and 6 kids), but with the private tour guides and drivers the entire time, it was no problem. The tour guides were also knowledgeable and flexible and helped us out with the kids. Beautiful hotels right in the thick of the cities so I really feel like we got to experience Vietnam. And the rates we were charged seemed quite reasonable for what we received. I highly recommend this company.
