After almost 50 years away from VN, we decided to visit the country in April 2026. As referred by family member, I contacted Asian Pioneer Travel. Maris responded my email and asked for permission to speak via WhatsApp. We discussed the itinerary for the 11 day trip. Within the same day, she designed a travel plan that would fit our budget and meet our expectation. After couple tweaks to upgrade the hotel and meals, we finalized the trip from HCMC to Ha Noi with other destinations in between.
Maris is very competent, efficient, attentive to details and pleasant to work with. Basically, we just had to show up for the tour.
The most fun event, personally was the Vespa tour in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Felt like a local while weaving in and out of traffic. Also we had chances to try many local favourite snacks and food such as banh mi, papaya goi, egg coffee, pho, etc. It was a memorable trip in VN after being away for such a long time.
We will not hesitate to use the service again for our future travel plans or refer to family and friends. Thank you so much to everyone at Asia Pioneer Travel and especially Maris, our travel designer, for all the hard work you put in.

This was our second trip in SE Asia with Asia Pioneer, and I can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience! From the moment I re-engaged with Winston, the planning and communications were smooth and the information clear. He’s so accommodating in tailoring the trip to our needs, and it was lovely to meet Winston f2f during our stay in Hanoi.

My wife and I just returned from a 7-day trip through India’s Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur), and it was one of the more intense but rewarding trips we’ve taken.

India can be overwhelming on a first visit. Delhi especially is a lot to take in at once; traffic, crowds, constant movement but that’s also part of what makes it so memorable. An early morning visit to the Taj Mahal ended up being one of our favorite moments of the trip.

We worked with Asia Pioneer Travel (APT) and Ms. Lizzie Pham handled the planning. This is really where the trip came together.

Before going, we had some hesitation, mainly around safety, getting between cities efficiently, and avoiding food issues. Lizzie didn’t just reassure us; she put together a plan that clearly accounted for those concerns. Transfers were smooth, timing between cities made sense, and the hotel and restaurant choices felt deliberate rather than generic.

There were a few moments during the trip where it was obvious how much thought had gone into the planning, especially around pacing and knowing when to build in downtime versus pushing through a full day. That made a big difference over the course of the week.

India is not the easiest place to navigate on your own, particularly on a first visit. Having someone like Lizzie who understands that and plans accordingly is what turned this into a trip we could fully enjoy instead of manage.

If you’re considering this itinerary and are on the fence about using a planner, I’d strongly recommend working with Lizzie and APT. It changed the experience for us in a meaningful way.

This review is for an 8-day Vietnam tour in March 2026. The planning and communications were great, and for the most part, the tour was very good. We upgraded to the 5-star accommodations, and they were definitely VERY nice!
I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because a few things weren’t quite as described in the itinerary. First, the day one drive to Sapa was listed as 5 hours, but actually took closer to 7, which left us with very little time upon arrival. Our flight to Hue was also delayed, so we arrived very late and had no time at all for our first day there.
Additionally, a couple of specific experiences didn’t happen: we ate at a restaurant instead of in a local family home during the trekking tour, and we didn’t get to help prepare the meal during the bike tour as expected (though the lunch provided by a local woman was nice). I also expected the bike tour to be in a more picturesque area.
As this was my first organized tour, I’ve learned to ask more specific questions and not plan so many heavy travel days next time. Overall, it was still a good experience, and Rachel was excellent to work with.

Thanks to Rachel, my trip organiser, I had an amazing holiday in North and Central Vietnam. I found this company by accident online, emailed them and Rachel organised my trip with my input on the side. Communication was mostly immediate reply, all my requests were included and I was given excellent advice.
I’m an older person and although my schedule was pretty full on, it was enjoyable because everything was taken care of, visa, airport pick ups, local guides etc. And Rachel was there 24/7 for ‘issues’ like “was I at the hotel yet” when our mini van was held up for 3 hours in a motorway traffic jam. Sooo reassuring to know that someone has your back when you’re travelling alone in a foreign country. Highly recommend this company and Vietnam for a holiday. I previously visited the South, hence this trip to North & Central region – amazing country/history/food and the people I met were so helpful and just ‘Nice’. Great trip and excellent experience, thank you 🤩 🧡
