My husband and I traveled to S E Asia for 6 weeks in April and May of 2025. I found Asia Pioneer Travel through an internet search, and I’m so thankful I did. Stella was our trip designer and responded promptly after I sent an online inquiry. After three conversations, we had a plan for Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam that included all the areas we wanted to see. Our trip was seamless! We had airport pickups, wonderful English speaking translator/guides and friendly drivers in each country, and the hotel choices were all excellent. We chose to stay in small boutique hotels that were all lovely and not overcrowded. The cities were, of course, very crowded, but not overcrowded with Americans, and our guides took us to their favorite out of the way spots for meals, special landmarks, and culturally important locations which made the trip so memorable. What we experienced will stay with us forever.

I have to give a special shout out to Mr. Oh and Meng in Bangkok and Stella. They were wonderful when I had a brief hospitalization and helped my husband tremendously shift arrangements, cancel and rebook flights and accommodations and provide emotional support. Meng even visited with me in the hospital! Every driver and translator for each new city, greeted us at the various airports, answered any questions we had, and our deep discussions as we travelled were very meaningful and deepened our understanding of S E Asia. As it is now almost one year later, we remember the people, the places, the culture and our visit as life changing. In February – March 2026, my husband and I ventured off to explore Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. We had a fantastic time learning about the culture, history and people. Our travel plan kept us busy almost every day exploring each destination. At the end of the day, we could relax in some wonderful boutique style hotels.

I found the trip very safe and the plan easy to follow, which allowed us to relax. We were greeted by guides at the airport and picked up the next day for tours. We told our travel coordinator that we also wanted to meet new people and so our plan included a mix of private and public tours. We met some interesting people from other countries and even met up with them in other cities along the way.

What truly elevated the experience, however, was working with our incredible travel agent, Maris Dang. She patiently collaborated with me over several months to build a 30-day itinerary, thoughtfully customizing each day to match our preferences. Despite the 14-hour time difference (which I occasionally forgot!), she was always gracious and responsive—even when I sent WhatsApp messages outside of normal working hours.

Maris supported us not only throughout the planning phase but also during our entire month-long journey. One of the most memorable personal touches was when she came to our hotel to meet my husband and me in person and surprised us with a gift—such a kind and thoughtful gesture!

During the trip, she remained just a message away, quickly helping with questions and even adjusting our plans when needed. With such a full itinerary, we found that, in our 60s, we needed to slow the pace a little. Maris handled everything seamlessly—no problem at all. She arranged the changes and ensured that the unused portions were credited back to our card, which we greatly appreciated.

Every guide we met along the way—from airport transfers to daily excursions—was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making our trip enjoyable. It’s clear that Asia Pioneer Travel takes great care in hiring exceptional people.

We came home with wonderful memories and would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

Thanks to Asia Pioneer Travel it was possible to see within three weeks Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. We started in Hanoi, did a Criuse at Halong, explored Luang Prabang (one of our highlights!!) and the highlights around Pakse (Vat Phou, 4000 islands and Champasak). Got to know Siemp Reap and its temples in Angkor. Flew back to Danang/Hoi An, explored Ho Chi Minh City and ended the tour in the Mekong Delta surrounded by Waterpalms. In every city we got welcomed by very nice and helpful tour guides. The drivers managed to bring us to every location on time (we had a tight schedule). Our Account Manager Lizzie helped us plan the trip and was very flexible and innovative to all our suggestions, changes and spontaneous ideas. While the trip the offered us constant communication, did the online check-in where possible and asked for our well being regularly. Although we changed locations super fast and explored a lot of sights, we came back home super relaxed thanks to the great planning of Asia Pioneer Travel.

Our trip to Vietnam was unforgettable. We saw a lot and did great memories! Chloe’s assistance was impeccable. Always answering quickly to our emails, giving suggestions, changing according to our wishes! Our trip went smoothly and without problems. I can only recommend the Agency and of course, Chloe!! Although our time spent in Vietnam was short (5 days), Asia Pioneer provided us with an amazing time. Our guide was reliable and knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in both Hanoi and Ninh Binh. We arrived the first day of Tet, which allowed us to really experience the festivities live in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The itinerary and all the details (including local cuisine) were meticulously arranged by Elly Do and her team at Asia Pioneer Travel. Couldn’t have asked for a better organized and more fun trip! If back in Vietnam, I will definitely use Asia Pioneer Travel again.

We travelled to Thailand with Asia Pioneer Travel. What an experience! Stella prepared an amazing itinerary. Temples, cooking classes, cruise, Tuk Tuk ride, Vespa ride, floating Villa, elegant sanctuary, Koh Sumai & more. All the accommodations & guides were excellent. We have travelled with this company in the past & highly recommend them.

Asia Pioneer delivered on everything they had promised in their detailed itinerary that we received before we left Ireland. Winston was our main point of contact, and he dealt with us in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner throughout. We travelled from Hanoi, making our way south to Ho Chi Minh City before flying on to Cambodia for another 6 days. We used a private car throughout, with a driver and guide at every destination. Everything was top quality, and we enjoyed our trip very much. Although we are senior citizens, there was little, if any, stress. All the tours and hotels that Asia Pioneer recommended were top-class. We couldn’t recommend Asia Pioneer enough and would certainly use them again if travelling in that region.
