Asia Pioneer made up a fantastic itinerary, great attractions/sites and knowledgable guides everywhere. Its costs are comparable and even below some others, but overall a great value is given our group size (6) and trip duration 14-24 days, (some of our group planned to go home after 2 weeks). Kata is also knowledgeable and put together a do-able schedule daily and used above average yet affordable accommodations suitable for Seasoned US tourists.

This winter we wanted to take a family vacation that was not only fun but educational. This was one of our favorite trips. We have traveled a lot and I have to say that working with Asia Pioneer and Ms. Nhung Vu made this a very well planned out and exciting vacation for our family. Ms.Nhung Vu was so sweet and knowledgeable about every area that we wanted to visit in Vietnam and Cambodia. She had a perfect understanding of the amount of time that we had available and the places that we wanted to experience. She was always available by email or phone to answer any of my questions. We traveled from Hanoi, Hoi An, Siem Reap, Phu Quoc for some beach time and then back to touring in Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh. Each place we visited taught us more about the wonderful people and the culture of Vietnam. We loved how charming Hoi An was with it streets lit up with beautiful lanterns, we boated down the Mekong River and we loved spending a night on the Era Cruise ship on Ha Long Bay. We are very particular in our hotels that we stay in and Nhung gave me plenty of options with a range of prices. She went over and beyond giving us helpful information on traveling, tipping, sites to visit and even restaurant suggestions. We also wanted to have private tours and Nhung organized the most wonderful tour guides in each city. Mr. Tran, Mr. Ngoc, Mr. Chhaiy and Mrs. Ngoc were all so sweet and knowledgeable about every site and history of their country. They always made sure we felt safe and some organized the best food tours. Someone was always there greeting us after each plane ride and the drivers were always on time. We would highly recommend Asia Pioneer, Ms. Nhung Vu, and these tour guides. We can not say enough wonderful things about our trip and how smoothly it went.

Just back from a fantastic 2 weeks in Cambodia & Vietnam, all organised by the fantastic Kata Tran in Asia Pioneer. Cannot recommend them highly enough. They gave us great options from which to choose in terms of places to visit, hotels to stay in, tours to take, etc. And, they were very flexible regarding any changes we wanted to make. All guides were great – all locals with great English and very knowledgeable. 10 out of 10!

We had such a great holiday with Asia Pioneer.The whole trip was so much fun and we saw and experienced so many beautiful things. Our guides were great Viet in Hanoi was superb – he spoke and understood English really well and took us to some different local places as we had discussed with him Yao in Sapa also spoke and understood good English and was really helpful on the trek
Banh in Hoi An / Hue had good English and was very informative
Sam in Ho Chi Minh had average English but he is so knowledgeable, helpful and easy to be with.
Pascal in Cambodia was really great and took us to some great locations for different photo opportunities

The hotels were also very good.

Boss Legend Hanoi – great
Sapa – rooms were a bit cold and we had to request a heater but much better the second night
Halong Bay – a fantastic trip would have loved to have stayed for longer!
Hoi An – lovely modern hotel – superb location
Hue – originally we declined a room on the 9th floor which we had been told would be noisy and were given a room on floor 6 – this was dark and we were moved the next day to a balcony room on floor 8 which was perfect.
Ho Chi Minh – lovely hotel and location
Siem Reap – lovely hotel and pool area

Overall everything Asia Pioneer had booked for us went really smoothly and made our trip so enjoyable

We have already passed your details on to several friends back in the UK who are also contemplating a trip to Vietnam
