We just returned from a 10 day trip through Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Our agent Lizzie did a fantastic job making our itinerary perfect for our family (2 adults and 2 children 7/9). Having the opportunity to travel without any major worries was amazing. Knowing that I had guides and drivers readily available during my trip and not being put on the spot for last minute things made this trip even better. Being 100% confident in my schedule made the packing and prepping so much easier for me as a mother. I knew exactly what my kids would need and that I wouldn’t be put in a position to find random things I might need.
Lizzie was super accommodating whenever I would reach out and try to change anything on our itinerary. Every time I mentioned that my kids might not enjoy something she was quick to offer an even better option. Everything she did was for our comfort. We were even able to meet other team members in person during our trip and it made it so special for us. I highly recommend using Asia pioneer travel for your trips.

My husband, adult children and I have just returned from one of the best trips of our lifetimes. After numerous requests from me to change, add or tweak the day-to-day tours suggested to me, Hang (Lizzie) from Asia Pioneer found the perfect combination for us. As we toured the country, we were inspired and educated by our guides Nam, Dat, Larry and Pascuale. We hiked through jungles, ate marvelous food, spent time on the waters of Halong Bay and Phu Quoc Island, we rode bikes through villages and explored the busy streets of Hanoi, Hoi an and Ho Chi Min City, we visited temples and war monuments. Every detail was carefully outlined by Hang and if we wanted to make last-minute changes to the day, our guides were happy to accommodate. I would highly recommend Asia Pioneer. Thanks to Asia Pioneer Travel it was possible to see within three weeks Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. We started in Hanoi, did a Criuse at Halong, explored Luang Prabang (one of our highlights!!) and the highlights around Pakse (Vat Phou, 4000 islands and Champasak). Got to know Siemp Reap and its temples in Angkor. Flew back to Danang/Hoi An, explored Ho Chi Minh City and ended the tour in the Mekong Delta surrounded by Waterpalms. In every city we got welcomed by very nice and helpful tour guides. The drivers managed to bring us to every location on time (we had a tight schedule). Our Account Manager Lizzie helped us plan the trip and was very flexible and innovative to all our suggestions, changes and spontaneous ideas. While the trip the offered us constant communication, did the online check-in where possible and asked for our well being regularly. Although we changed locations super fast and explored a lot of sights, we came back home super relaxed thanks to the great planning of Asia Pioneer Travel.

Our 11 day tour was beautifully managed from start to finish, everyone involved went above and beyond. It was a whirlwind flurry of travel to see three countries in 10 days … we never could have done it without Asia Pioneer Travel. The hotels they chose were perfect and in ideal locations. We particularly liked the Hari in Siem Riep, Cambodia. Each guide and driver was kind, patient, on time, accommodating and professional.

My husband and I fall into the category of “high maintenance” … somewhat nervous travelers and needing to know every aspect of timing, schedule, vehicles, walking distances, weather, food, lodging beforehand. Lizzie was on it every time – no detail was too small for her to research and find the answer for. We even changed the itinerary a few days before (decided not to go on the Ha Long Bay cruise) and she managed it no problem.

There were lots of special requests while we were there (later pickup time, take us to a drugstore, can you take us to church, can you book a show for us tonight, we want to see the Hanoi Hilton unexpectedly) and the guides were accommodating every time.

I can’t tell you how amazing it was to have a private tour guide through Cambodian temples and then a black SUV meet you after touring Angkor Wat for 3 hours and offer you cold towels, water and snacks. Or have a private guide leading you through the Bangkok Royal Palace and then find a private water taxi for you. It was like a secret back door of travel opened up and made the experience seamless and effortless.

The price for everything was reasonable and worth every penny.

We will always use Asia Pioneer Travel to arrange our experiences in this part of the world. Highly recommend!!!

My family of 5 went to Vietnam during December 2024/January 2025. It was a 7 day trip split between Hanoi and Hoi An. We worked with Lizzie as our representative and she was nothing short of amazing. We have small children (6,4, and 2). The trip she recommended accounted for our travel needs as a family with small ones. She was accommodating, professional, and timely in her communication. A highlight of the trip as we were in Vietnam was our tour guide in Hoi An, Patrick aka Phu. He had a great personality and our kids loved him. He was very knowledgeable and made the trip! I highly recommend this company. The peace of mind they provided across the logistics associated with visiting Vietnam was unreal. From hotels, transportation, to food everything was on point and of great quality!

I spent the month of May in Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Lizzie from Asia Pioneer planned the trip for me. A friend was with me for the Vietnam portion. The rest of the trip was solo. It was a wonderful experience all around. Each travel guide was was well qualified in their area of Asia. They were all so kind and accommodating. I never once felt unsafe as an older woman traveling alone. I was so lucky to find Lizzie and have her plan my trip and continue to coordinate things as I was traveling.

Lizzie organised our trip very professionally by listening to our every need/suggestion. We were 6 and had a wonderful time. My husband and I were looking for an adventure and that is exactly what we got. We were nervous about going to Vietnam as we knew nothing about the country, so we put our trip in the hands of these professionals and they didn’t let us down.

Lizzie, our travel designer, was fabulous, helping us with the planning and making great suggestions as to what would make our trip terrific. We went from the north (Hanoi) to the south (HMCity) with stops to the interior (Pu Luong & Mai Chau), over to Halong Bay, Hoi An, Hue, Mekong, Ho Tram and elsewhere. We were on planes, sampans, kayaks, cruise boat, cyclos, motor cycles, vespas and basket boats. 24 days of incredibly well-planned fun! Hotels and lodges were exactly what we wanted and food was amazing (even the meals we helped cook). Drivers/vehicles were excellent and our English-speaking guides really helped us appreciate what we were experiencing. And the whole 24-day trip was very affordable.

We had an absolutely fabulous trip to Vietnam booked with Asia Pioneer Travel! Our travel specialist, Lizzie, was amazing. She took all of the things we wanted to do, and built us a wonderful 17 day itinerary. It was completely customized with private drivers, English speaking guides, and activities that got us off the beaten track and tailored to our requests to hit both tourist and not so touristy areas. Everything was well organized, so no time lost waiting around for group tours, allowing us to fit in extra activities when we wanted. It was a great blend of planned activities, and free time to explore on our own. Can’t say enough about the local guides we had in different areas of the country. Meeting them and learning about all the culture and history of each area was really what made the trip so wonderful. All of the accommodations suggested and booked by Lizzie were top notch. Wonderful food, hospitality and locations. We started planning the trip months in advance, and Lizzie had great communication throughout. Always available with any questions we had prior, as well as during our trip. Had to make some last minute changes due to flooded areas and she was on top of it at all times. Would definitely use Lizzie and her team at Asia Pioneer Travel again!! Thanks for making this an unforgettable bucket list adventure!

What an amazing experience!! We worked with Lizzie with Asia Pioneer Travel for over a year to plan our vacation and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect! Lizzie listened to all over our hopes and interests, and delivered an itinerary that ended up being a dream vacation! We spent 2 weeks exploring Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand with our family of 5 and the guides we had in each city were wonderful, knowledgeable, and felt like our friends just showing us around their country. We will absolutely go through them again when we find time to explore more of Asia!

They were always available from our original booking through our travels, and selected knowledgeable, professional, and friendly guides and drivers. My wife and I had the trip of a lifetime. My sister had made a similar trip, with Asia Pioneer, in February and strongly recommended them. We had considered a large tour group and realized, that for approximately the same price, we could have our own private tour. Our ability to be flexible was an advantage not available to large tour groups. Every day was well planned and full of sights and activities. What made this trip extra special was our experience with the local culture which was an important goal. We will always remember taking a Vespa tour through Hanoi learning about the local religion, tasting fruit in the market, and fully appreciating the significance of the tea culture. Biking around a small island on the Mekong Delta, being rowed in the small waterways, making candy with a local family, and catching our own fish to eat for dinner was a highlight. Exploring a local Cambodian floating village and sipping coconut milk while on a floating restaurant (with caged crocodiles) just added to the adventure. Taking a tuk-tuk around Bangkok walking through the Flower market and watching them make Pad-Thai (my favorite) and eating it was yet another “WOW”. The nighttime was yours and with local car or tuk-tuk service being inexpensive we were able to have drinks, on the rooftop, at the famous Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, enjoy Hanoi street food, Pub Street and the Phare Circus in Siem Reap, and eat incredible street food in Bangkok. We are so glad that we had the Asia Pioneer TravelTeam manage this remarkable journey.

I did 36 days & my partner did 16 days with this company touring Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and finishing in Phu Quoc.
It was originally planned before COVID arrived, but it was so easy to contact Lizzie again and put it together.
The itinerary that was put together was amazing, I also did my own research to cover my own interests.
The main thing that stands out is the available support 24/7, it was fabulous.
All the transport connections were flawless throughout, all I had to do was confirm on the odd occasion.
The guides supplied were on the whole excellent, it was nice to build up a relationship with them as their knowledge of the area’s was so good.
Attention to detail was 1st class, for example, I left a shirt on the Halong Bay cruise which was recovered and posted to my final hotel before flying home !!
This is not the cheapest option, however a seamless travel experience is what we found. It was pretty full on but down times were factored in so we had time to ourselves.
This was a superb experience, highly recommended.
