Hanoi Full-day City Tour
: Hanoi – Full-day City Tour
Option (upon request): Start your day early at dawn and hit the Quang Ba flower market, a truly unforgettable experience for the early riser. Or you can enjoy a stroll around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and see the locals doing their morning tai chi and aerobics in the dawn light.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and start the city tour with a visit to the Soviet-style Ba Dinh Square where Ho Chi Minh read out the declaration of the nation’s independence in 1945. We will visit the museum dedicated to Ho Chi Minh before passing through his Mausoleum; escorted by the soldiers in full regalia (you will be asked to remove hats if entering, and no shorts or vests are allowed either). As you leave, you will be able to walk through the gardens of the Presidential Palace before seeing “Uncle Ho’s” house; the humble dwelling he built (based on a traditional Vietnamese stilt house) and where he lived for the last ten years of his life.
We will then continue to the One Pillar Pagoda and the 900-year old Temple of Literature, the principal Vietnamese Confucian sanctuary, and its historical centre of learning. Made up of five courtyards, this is one of the few remnants of the original city. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
We visit the Hoa Lo Prison, the highest security prison of Indochina during the French colony. It was where the Vietnamese patriotic soldiers were detained by the colonialists and were later known as the “Hanoi Hilton” for American pilots during the American War. Afterwards, we proceed to one of the museums in Hanoi; the Women’s Museum, Museum of Ethnology or the History Museum.
Visit Ngoc Son Temple before attending a water puppet show, a typical art unique to North Vietnam, with traditions dating back over a thousand years.
We will finish the day with a cyclo (rickshaw) tour of the Old Quarter, where each street is named after the trade (or guild) that has carried on there for centuries such as Hang Bac (Silver Street) and Hang Trong (Drum Skin Street). The trade spills onto the street, mixing with the herbal scents for sale and the atmosphere is lively and sociable.
The service will conclude once you return to your hotel.

Reviews on Our Service
The purpose of our trip to Vietnam was to see the areas where husband/father was during the Vietnam War.
Booking our Vietnam trip through Asia Pioneer Travel was such an easy process. Chloe worked with me to make sure our trip was what our family wanted. Everything was catered to our preferences and scheduled with such detail. Chloe was so easy to work with and was always available for questions despite the time difference. She handled everything for us; all we had to do was book our international flights. We were met at the airport and driven to our hotels at every location. Our tour guides picked us up every morning and our itinerary was planned out so that we were able to visit north, central and south Vietnam. Pretty incredible for a ten -day trip. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you again Chloe, Eric, Tony and Yen and our drivers.
Unforgettable last minute trip in North Vietnam and Cambodia and amazing agent (Ms Cherry)! 100% recommended!
I had a wonderful time in Vietnam and Cambodia! It was easily one of the favorite trips I have ever had. Every sight and experience was worth it, people everywhere were nice, I loved the food and I always felt extremely safe everywhere and anytime.
I decided to leave very last minute and wasn’t sure I would be able to plan everything in time. I reached out to a few agencies, but Asia Pioneer Travel was the only one who really made the effort to help me book the trip I was looking for! Ms Cherry was an amazing agent! She was able to plan everything in very a short notice and was also able to make adjustments to the itinerary to accommodate my wishes! She was also checking on me via WhatsApp during the trip and met me in Hanoi, making sure everything was going well.
I have already recommended Asian Pioneer Travel to friends who are thinking about a trip there and I will most definitely reach back to them for my next trip to Asia!

Incredible tour experience
Chloe is an amazing travel planner! My husband and I had a fantastic vacation in Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh City. She was extremely responsive in making adjustments to our itinerary through the planning phases. She booked beautiful hotels, reliable drivers, and knowledgable and friendly tour guides. I would recommend APT to anyone traveling to Vietnam!
